Welcome. Ara Roa Unique Accommodation is a collection of very distinctive accommodation retreats located along the Whangarei Heads glorious east coast, near the city of Whangarei, Northland. Private and secluded, contemporary, individual and professionally maintained retreats in Northland. Our opinion, and that of many of our guests, is that travelers wishing to explore less exploited destinations will find the best of Northland here. Our range of self-contained and serviced properties suit many different purposes such as family vacations, a romantic hideaway or a business, team building location. Peaceful Paradise

My Husband and I stayed in the Glasshouse for three nights. It is one of the most stunning places we've ever stayed in. The views are magnificent. To have complete privacy in this peaceful place is priceless. The catered food was divine deliciousness and the service from the hosts was 10 out of 10. We live nearby in Whangarei Heads and to have this paradise in our backyard is absolutely amazing. We highly recommend this stunning place. Thank you for sharing!

Peace and Privacyin Whangarei Heads

We stayed in Te Hui and loved every minute of it. The villa is nicely appointed and the views are amazing. The hosts were available if needed but left us to our own devices. The best part was the privacy and the quiet - all too rare ion this modern world!

Living on the Edge

What a wonderful experience staying at The Cliff House. With ever changing, dramatic sea views, you never knew what the elements had in store for you each morning. It was like living at sea within four walls!....Sheer luxury, thankyou so much Paul & Susanne xx

Cliff House

We absolutely loved Cliff House. Most amazing views. Near some beautiful beaches and walks. A lovely place to relax. I highly recommend it. Our kids loved petanque and the garden swing (which must have the best view of any swing in the world!)

Perfect getaway

We had the most wonderful weekend away at Te Huia. The view is stunning, the facilities are wonderful and it is a great place to escape the hustle and bustle of city life. Susanne was wonderful and was able to help us set up a cot and highchair for the baby. We felt instantly relaxed and only wish we could stay longer! The house has an amazing deck - the perfect place to sit down with a drink, read a book and watch the sunset.
