A coeliac delight!

Wonderful to eat where all dishes are gluten-free! Good service - Nice food. The first dish that appeared was the Asian greens- at $12 I thought there may have been more in the portion but it came in a tiny dish and was mostly silver beet stalk and in a soy sauce not spicy as was suggested. The charred broccoli was the same price and was a large plate with good spice! So each dish that arrived was a surprise and all quite different but it was a long wait for the last dish and we had all finished. But I would recommend, I would go again and I love them for being gluten-free!

Delicious food, great environment fantastic people!

If they're lucky, some restaurants get a few things right. Not Bambuchi. They absolutely nailed it on every count. At their Canadian night they totally delivered on the food. It was so good, we ordered seconds (If I'd had the room, I'd have ordered thirds. The poutine was totally authentic and utterly delicious. The brisket melted in my mouth and their perogi's were to die for. Rounding things out was a slice of pecan pie that was simply unforgettable. It wasnt just the excellent food though, the ambience is just right and their people really make you feel welcome. If you are looking for a great place to eat, look them up, you wont regret it

Banging Bambuchisan!

Great selection of food and amazing service. Wonderful drinks menu (although not drinking atm and mocktails and range of non alcoholic drinks was great). Loved the pork and chicken and vege dishes

Every single item we ordered tasted amazing!

Amazing food and service. The whole menu is gluten free which was perfect for my partner who is celiac. Every single item we ordered was delicious and we will definitely be back!

So tasty

Wow, small suburban Japanese inspired restaurant. So yummy and tasty. Great space and good service. The mushrooms were outstanding as was the beef. And don't forget the sake. Mmmm

Great service and food

Went last night with an out of town vegetarian friend. Good service, interesting flavours, plenty of veg and vegan on the menu, well chosen wine list, and generously gave one of our party the last of the pear congac with her lovely dessert. Nice that the chef came and chatted with us. Very pleasant spur of the moment dinner.

Always a memorable experience

I've had the pleasure of going to Bambuchi atleast 4 or 5 times by now. It's my FAVORITE restaurant in all of Wellington. Always a special experience, where the chef comes out to talk to you. Only about 10 tables, and the menu constantly changes. Great service, great food, and I can't recommend this restaurant enough for the more adventurous and fine-dining eater.
