About us

Bay Vista Waterfront Motel offers the only Picton accommodation ON the waterfront. We aren't just a motel, but a destination. Wake up to the sound of a Tui or Cacadas in our native bush and the smell of the sea at your doorstep. All our waterfront units are located right on the water’s edge with stunning views overlooking Waikawa Bay & the Marina. We are only 5 minutes by car from Picton township & have ample of off street parking for boats and trailers. It's only a short stroll to the local restaurant at the Marina, the boat launching ramps and playground.

Excellent location and well appointed rooms

We were greeted by friendly and helpful staff, who also accommodated us with secure parking for our trailer boat. Our room was of a good size and we had an unobstructed view of the Waikawa Bay, plus a short walk to the marina and the Jolly Roger hotel.

Stunning Location

What a wonderful suprise staying at such a stunning location. Clean, spacious and with everything we needed we will definitely return. Our hosts couldn't have been more helpful, we had our jet ski trailer and bikes with us and there was plenty of room for parking. Perfect!

Never Disapoints

This is our regular stopover when heading South, this time we stayed for 2 nights, explored a bit more of Picton and just relaxed in our Motel. The units are being refurbished that is taking the motel to the next level. Rachel is doing an amazing job with her management skills. Highly recommended and we are looking forward to our next visit.

What a warm welcome we received on our arrival. We stayed May/June 2021. Our unit was just metres from the beach, with glorious views of Waikawa Marina. A peaceful retreat with black swans on our lawn

Stunning View

We stayed in a 2 bedroom unit at the motel. It was clean and comfortable. The view is amazing. Rachel, the manager was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed going to the Jolly Rodger pub which was a short walk away. We would stay here again if in the area.
