Another phenomenal stay

This was my third visit to Bird's Eye View B&B, my previous stays were outstanding so I decided to stay again. Cherry and Frank are the perfect hosts and nothing is too much trouble for them, they are very knowledgeable about the surrounding area and are always on hand to help with travel plans and give suggestions on local attractions that are worth seeking out. The breakfasts are delightful, I had stewed peaches a couple of times as well as rhubarb together with a cooked breakfast cooked by Frank. This is accompanied by toast and a selection of jams and honey, freshly brewed coffee and juice. The sumptuous annexe has everything needed for a very comfortable stay. Tea/coffee facilities are provided, there is a lot of storage space for belongings and wifi is available in the property. Birds Eye View is one of the best B&B establishments I have encountered and possibly the best in the 30 years I have been travelling. …

Great B& B for both motorists and Hauraki trail cyclists

We highly recommend this extremely comfortable bed and breakfast with a wonderful view. The hosts were warm and charming and went out of their way to make our visit a memorable one, including the delicious and generous breakfast . In particular, they are very welcoming to Hauraki Trail cyclists . They even offered to collect us and our bikes from the end of the trail at Waihi to avoid us having to ride about 1 km on the main road to reach their B&B. Highly recommended for both motorists and cyclists.

Frank and Cherrie immediately make you feel welcome in their home. The accommodation is excellent, very clean with wonderful views, the breakfasts were the best we had on our two month trip. Frank and Cherrie are wonderful hosts , always there to offer advice on where to eat and places to visit. When we left we felt we were saying goodbye to two new friends.

A wonderful experience

We arrived soaked through, filthy and bedraggled having cycled the rail trail from Thames in non-stop pouring rain. Frank and Cherry were amazing - they truly went above and beyond in terms of helping us get dry and warm up. They are excellent company and the house itself has spectacular views and the beds are warm and comfortable. Breakfast was a real delight - beautifully presented and more than enough to fuel us on to our next stop on the rail trail. Cannot recommend Bird's Eye View highly enough. Thank you Frank and Cherry - your kindnesses helped make our holiday unforgettable.
