Excellent meal in pleasant surroundings
Excellent meal in pleasant surroundings. Although we were the only customers on a quiet Sunday evening the waiter made us feel welcome. Agree with other reviewers that the chairs are very comfortable! We had prawn fried rice and chicken fried rice that were excellent flavour and arrived promptly. Good range of drinks available.

. Highly recommend you try it. The service was excellent an the dinner was superb. The staff were attentive and friendly. The delivery of the food to the many tables was excellent. I thought this was one of the best meals I have eaten out in a very long time.

Rangiora Photographic Society visit
44 of us booked for dinner last Saturday night. We all arrived more or less at once and as soon as we were all seated the waiters/waitresses came and took our drinks and food orders. The food came out amazingly quickly and the quality was fantastic. We were so very impressed. Highly recommended.

Blue Ice has the most delicious pizza we enjoyed with our 2 teenage sons while on holiday in Franz Josef - they have Friday night discounted pizzas and man were they good!

Very enjoyable
We have just enjoyed a very enjoyable meal at Blue Ice. We were made welcome as soon as we arrived. The decor is very attractive and I loved the comfy seats. Our meal was attractively presented. The menu has a varied range of meals with a mix of European, Asian and pizza. Franz Josef is so quiet with the effects of Covid and we wish Blue Ice the very best. Thank you for a great experience and a delicious meal!

Lovely wee restaurant - we had very prompt service and lovely meals. We opted for the pizzas which were top notch and very filling. The restaurant is very comfortable - probably the most comfy chairs I have ever sat in at a restaurant!

Amazing food and service
Amazing food and service. It was much flasher than expected with the food all presented like a fine dining restaurant. Portion sizes were good and great value for money. Could not fault the food, service or atmosphere. If that wasn't enough we went on a public holiday and asked about a surcharge... the response... we don't believe in surcharges, you will pay the normal standard price.

Outstanding food and service
Walked off the street not knowing how amazing the food was here and we were happily pleased with the outcome. The wait staff were helpful and accommodating proving good advice and service. The food was not only wonderfully varied and delicious but also priced very reasonably. The pizzas were particularly good value on a Friday and tasty; the mains were superb and Philippino dishes were a treat; and for those who still had space the desserts were amazing. Warmly recommend to anyone and everyone staying or passing through Franz Josef.
