Class with a Capitol C!
Came in here for the Burger Wellington, 3 of us had that and 2 of us had other dishes off the menu and all of them were faultless. The Garage Project Beer match with the burger was close to perfection. The grilled chicken was impeccable, and the chorizo was a banger. Service was fantastic on all fronts. Can’t recommend enough, will definitely be back when we’re back in Wellington.

Excellent
We had a beautiful meal. The food was delicious. We shared a calamari to start - very tasty and tender. I had the entree size of mushroom risotto which was very tasty and generous. My other half had the Liver which he loved. Then we shared a Sticky Date Pudding which was the best I have ever had. We had a lovely Irish waitress serving us and the rest of the staff were very good too. Would thoroughly recommend and we will go back.

Stunning Meal at Capitol!
I came in a couple weeks ago with my family for dinner and it was outstanding. Overall, the service was fantastic; all the servers had great attitudes and attended to our needs with immense effort. The food was amazing! I had the clams as an entree and the fish of the day as a main. My family and I enjoyed every aspect of dining at Capitol (especially the self-centred chocolate pudding for desert). Overall highly rate this experience and will definitely be returning to Capitol very soon.

Great service, spectacular food
I came in after watching a film at the embassy and was blown away by how attentive the staff were. We ordered the clams to start with and ended up asking for some bread as the sauce they were in was so tasty! We had the lambs liver and the beef for our mains and it was all cooked beautifully. We didn't have any room for dessert but our lovely Scottish waitress helped us pick out some digestifs. A fantastic dining experience, will definitely be back!

Delicious and awesome service!
We dined at Capitol with our two young kids. The staff took awesome care of us. Not a traditional family restaurant, but they were happy to adapt their beautiful dishes to suit our kids. We had a delicious antipasto platter to start, then pork belly and market fish, and the kids had pasta. It was all so tasty!

Our dining experience at Capitol was fantastic. The food was fresh and all local based which is important for ethical diners! The atmosphere and staff are warm in an intimate setting which is reflected throughout the full dining experience- you are treated like family. The most favourite element of our dining was the warm atmosphere created by the staff and the beautiful chocolate pudding! There wasn't anything I disliked about our dining experience!
