A great start to the day!

I can't rate this place enough. I've been coming here, when visiting town, for a long time now. The staff (many of whome have been there for years) are fantastic, they are all so friendly. The food is of a high quality and the filter coffee (bottomless) is lovely. This has to be the only place in NZ that does traditional USA breakfast items like Corned Beef Hash or Hash Brown cooked on the hot plate/iron. When I go here I go hard. I recommend the Farmers Breakfast with a side of french toast. Everything is well cooked, everything is piping hot and fresh. The french toast is well coated in egg with a dollop of whipped butter on top. The table has sauces and maple syrup to suit everyone's taste. A breakfast here will have you full for the rest of the day....

Amazing brunch

Great service and delicious food! If you are hungry - this is the place to go! It was busy when I went during the easter break so book in advance if you dont want to wait. I didn't mind and it was worth it!

Best pancakes!

Had brunch there on a weekend trip to Christchurch. It was very busy but staff was great, friendly and welcoming. Banana pancake stack with blueberries, maple syrup and extra bacon were delicious 10/10. Really good filter coffee too with free top up.

Amazing brunch

Breakfast / brunch. Outstanding food. Lovely waitress. Definitelyworth a visit and close to the Westfield mall for convenience. Clean and nice atmosphere.

Just wanted an omelette

Thank you Drexels for being the only place we could find in CHCH that served an omelette, and it was a damn good omelette as well. It was a busy Saturday morning, the restaurant was full, and we had not booked. The concierge still managed to find a us a place at the bar, which was fine. It enabled us to watch what was going on. We observed every single staff member, either in the kitchen, or serving, working fast and genuinely taking pride in their jobs, and each other. They worked fast and efficiently while still smiling when dealing with customers either in person or on the phone. We saw this all first hand. Who ever owns this restaurant, you have wonderful staff, and for that hour last Saturday, they worked very well, and still served lovely food, with a smile. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending your restaurant

Excellent

We were served by a delightful waitress called Maddy . We sat at the bar and watched as a very happy team cooked and delivered meals. The food could not be faulted and we left very happy. Would definitely recommend this place to all

Yummy!!!

I always visit Drexel’s when I go home to Christchurch. Crispy bacon, the best hash brown you will ever eat. Whipped butter. Great coffee!!! I miss you Drexel’s!!!!!
