A heartfelt thank you to Jennie for organizing our stay and at their B&B. The room was very well presented and all tough it was not very huge,it was big enough for me and my wife.My wife liked the special "romantic" card game which Jennie left on the bed side table. We enjoyed the spa pool on their deck while we could, before the rain started. Coppers beach is a stone's throw away and so is Mangonui. It was a lovely stay and we would definitely be back.
Hospitality exceeded expectations
Thank you Andy and Jenny! Your hospitality exceeded our expectations and we are very appreciative for an excellent few days away. We recently spent the New Years Eve period with our daughters (2 and 5 months) at the Famous Blue Chair B & B. Admittedly the room was a little small for a family with 2 babies and all out bits and pieces, but the was nothing that couldn't be worked around. I was originally a bit hesitant about staying at B & B because of the lack of privacy, but with the separate access to the room and the fact that Jenny and Andy where out every night we stayed the privacy level was probably the same as staying at a hotel, if not more. Our 2 year old was able to run around the deck and back area which was a life saver and it was lovely to pop outside to see Jenny reading our daughter books so we could relax. The bubbly, biscuits, juice and fresh water on the afternoon of our arrival were lovely and just examples of the amazing hospitality. Great value for money - We will be back! …
Great place, Great welcome and Great People
I travel extensively and frequently and I must admit this has to rank in my top three best stays. Andy and Jenny are very welcoming and affable, without being intrusive. Andy even gave me a guided tour of a local Maori PA site and was full of information about the area. The quality of the accommodation, Food and Facilities all top notch. Whether you're a couple, single or a family, don't miss the opportunity to book this gem! I will be back, this time with my family. Awesome value for money.
Great B & B and wonderful host
Jenny and Andy were so supportive and friendly. They told us everything we needed to know about the area and about NZ as we are from California. They were extremely generous with their time and were happy to help us with everything we needed. The breakfast was absolutely wonderful and again very generous with everything you would ever want for breakfast. The room was very comfortable and clean and had many extra touches, even chocolate! I highly recommend this quaint and beautiful retreat to anyone traveling to Coopers Beach area.
Relaxing under the stars!
Thank you so much Jennie and Andy for your hospitality during our stay. We were very impressed with the breakfasts and found the room to be comfortable.. One of us has arthritis and found the spa very relaxing, and the mattress very supportive. The view of the stars overhead from the spa was magic! We will definitely come back on our next visit to the Far North.
