Lovely memorial undergoing some improvements around it. In the beautiful island easily accessed from Auckland by ferry. Worth a visit

ANZAC
The place is beautiful, quiet and nice, close the Auckland yet a Little village of its own. Devonport is worth the trip. the memorial is one of a hundred, serious and solemn, but not extraordinary in any way.

Historic reminder
A bronze statue on a stone plinth is a memorial to those who sacrificed their lives during the 1st world war. I am always interested to see if there is anyone mentioned with my surname.

The best wish I had more time
There is a show make sure you see it.
The show of the native carving is fantastic.
It takes more time then expected. Take it. Come back.
