A LOVELY EVENING

We hadn't been back to Funk Fish since the new owners took over. We'll not leave it so long next time. We had an excellent meal - best calamari for ages. Superb chilli prawns. The service was exemplary and the atmosphere was relaxed. A very good value meal.

Labour long weekend

Visiting family in Inglewood, my sister suggested Fish and chips as a quick dinner because no one felt like cooking. Only 3 of us felt like f & c so order was placed. My sister went down and got it. When she came back there was enough food to feed almost the rest of the family. The chips were lovely and crunchie, but the fish was so fresh that it fell apart when you picked it up.

Hidden champion

Really fresh fish which was delicious. Staff was nice and friendly and it's a nice menu with not to much stuff on. Also sells local craft beer

Worth the drive

I've been here twice in the past couple months. I just happened in on my first visit. I wasn't disappointed. Great fish and chips. The best I've had in Taranaki.

Excellent

We were 2 couples on holiday from Wales and wanted a relaxed, informal dinner and received all that plus great food with friendly service. The cod and gunard were excellent and presented by a delightful waitress.

Top spot for restaurant meal or take away

We stopped here for a quick take away meal at lunch time. The menu was simple and limited. We chose the lemon fish and chips. They were very inexpensive. The meal came out piping hot and absolutely delicious. The meal was so good the we decided to return to try out the restaurant a day or two later. The restaurant service was friendly and professional. We had the fish and chips and the prawns and rice. Both meals were ample in size and the quality was extremely high. Recommended for a quick take away or a more leisurely dinner in very pleasant surroundings

A special place for fish and chips

Really good fish, chips and kumara chips. Stands out from the everyday fush&chups place. Very helpful staff - friendly and prompt. Want to go back earlier in the evening so I can eat in the dining room. We enjoyed our fish at the little table in our campervan - a Kiwi dream!

I can not give Funk Fish enough praise. The service I received from Monique was out standing and she always had a smile on her face. The food was not only incredible but was made very quickly even while the restaurant was full. I can't recommend Funk Fish enough and I will be coming back soon.
