About us

Hokitika Holiday Park grew out of our desire to provide a service for our local community. We saw a need to provide accommodation for all the visitors being turned away from our ‘Cool Little Town’ by a lack of accommodation. The family tradition of generous hospitality then evolved into Hokitika Holiday Park. Our family owned and operated business was designed by experienced campers with the aim to solve some of the difficulties and frustrations often encountered while holiday-making. For this reason, our sites are generous, our facilities strategically situated, and parking any vehicle is easy. We are passionate about our holiday park, not only for your enjoyment, but because it is an investment for our children and their future. You may see our children on site, and they will be excited and pleased to see you, too. We’re here to help you have a great time in the place we love.

We loved it!

We kicked off a tour of the South Island in Hо̄kitika, and this was a perfect base. We would have loved to stay longer than two nights! The facilities were excellent, the playground was outstanding, and our cabin was cosy and well appointed. We had a great time exploring nearby, and roasting marshmallows on a brazier in the camp.

Will be returning

Stayed one night in our van and was pleasantly surprised. Bathroom facilities were spacious and clean, the lounge and kitchens well laid out and welcoming. Personally love the lay out of the camp, it certainly appeals to my OCD personality. Staff were helpful and very easy to deal with. Compared to other places we have stopped we would definitely say this place was value for money and will return next time with our children.

Playground won for us!

Amazing clean facilities. Love thag you get your own bathroom/shower that is super clean. The communal area was great and the playground was amazing. Even amidst the heavy rain warning, our little one was on there. The chocolate lab was an added bonus for us

Perfect for camping!

We really enjoyed our stay here, such an awesome campground. The campground is a great size - not too big with playground/facilities in the middle and very close to every site. The kids loved the playground, the facilities were very clean and tidy. The braziers provided with firewood available to buy were an awesome touch and the kids really enjoyed roasting marshmallows.
