Cheese lovers cheer

Stumbled on this place. What a fortunate stumble. Great range of cheeses produced on the premises and kept as cheese should be. Suspect the seller was the cheese master, he knew what he was talking about. The only problem was what to choose as it was to be eaten in a couple of days.

Small local cheese maker

Nice selection of cheeses. We got a jar of the spicey Labneh which was very mild and Te Morehu and The Harnett. All were good, though the Labneh’s seasoning seemed minuscule. Maybe my taste buds aren’t sensitive enough. It’s always interesting to try local cheese, breads and wines along with whatever local fruits and vegetables are in season. Hmmm... I’m getting hungry! Enjoy.

Artisanal Cheese

My family and I assuaged our disappointment over the weather with some delicious cheese tasting at this artisanal cheese shop. I appreciate the care that they take in making small batches of really wonderful cheese. They were very generous in providing samples so that we could choose with knowledge. Only wish that I had bought more.

Artisanal Product

This is a little cheese factory right on the main street in Kaikoura township. There was a good selection of cheeses made on the premises (you can watch through the window behind the counter) and some product from other South Island Cheese makers. There are also other artisanal products there for purchase - olives, cured meats, crackers, pastes, pates etc.
This is the epitome of one of the main delights of touring the upper reaches of the South Island - the glorious and varied food and drink production.
A lovely helpful, chatty lady presding. Such a nice visit.

Super Cheese - Steller Rated

Oh Wow - Love and Fury has to be the best ever new cheese. Such softness, rich and oh so flavoursome, combine with the oat baked biscuits bought in store, you’ll be in heaven for a while until your next visit. Truely world class excellence!!
