Easy walking
Just going to get better over the years this track as all the trees grow, well done team - Great view up there.

A gentle walk for an hour
We walked from our motel in the town to the start of the walk which is well made and signposted. Steepish but not too onerous, I did it in my jandals, cleaned carefully to prevent the spread of die back. The recent dry spell has affected some of the fledgling young kauri and hopefully they will survive.
Nice 360 degree views from the pā and then we took the circular route back down along the harbour side road into town which is occasionally paved but mostly just roadside. A very pleasant way to spend an hour although we would also suggest the Long Bay, Tucks Bay loop nearby with a giant kauri to see en route, a walk which was much more beautiful in very much more established forest.
