Nestled in the beautiful village of Akaroa, La Rochelle Motel is a small family operated property that is your perfect destination for a relaxing & peaceful stay. Our modern complex offers a mix of 8 Studio Units with either King or Queen sized beds & a two bedroom apartment. Access facilities are also available. Each unit is comfortably furnished with kitchenette, en-suite bathroom with either shower or single spa bath, heating, flat screen TV & DVD player, & iPod docks. Each unit also has its own balcony or patio overlooking our native garden & stream boundary. Free off-street parking, free Wireless Broadband, continental breakfast & Guest Laundry available.

Best stay in Akaroa!

What a awesome place to stay and great hospitality by the owners who go out of their way to meet any needs you have. Quiet and peaceful. Amenities were really good, could have asked for anything better. I would highly recommend a stay with these guys.

Lovely quiet setting, nice private outdoor living, very comfortable night.

Really enjoyed our stay here, the bed was so comfortable, after a sleepless night at our previous hotel in Christchurch, it was so good to be able to get a good nights sleep in Akaroa. I loved the privacy of the outdoor area, and the place was lovely and clean, very riendly and helpful owner.

Comfortable stay.

First stop on our road trip around the Island and it proved a good choice. Nice modern upstairs unit with balcony and bonus Bell birds. Everything spotlessly clean with a modern feel. Only stayed one night but it certainly served its purpose. Brisk walking distance of the town proper, everything is accessible. Trevor (a Taranaki native) was friendly and helpful. Only negative comment would be the price, it seemed expensive when compared with the rest of our trip but that may be just an Akaroa thing, which I imagine is fairly popular. Nice dinner in the Maderia Hotel, just down the road, seperate review.

Good sized apartment

Very nice friendly hosts welcomed us and the apartment was spacious and in a good position, a short walk to nearby restaurants and a pleasant walk along the water's edge to the main village area. I recommend this place

Good sized room with nice outdoor area

We had a very nice two night stay at La Rochelle Motel. The room was a good size and very clean and tidy. The bed was comfortable and we slept well. The small area outside our room (#5, ground floor) was lovely. Trevor our host was great, very friendly and helpful. The motel is in a great location and we would stay there again if we return to Akaroa.
