The Mighty Te Koutu lake

When I did the walk through, it was lush with greenery and Sakuras all blooming. It is like spring came to life. The Pukekos is New Zealand Native birds and so excited to see one up close. Its nice to sit, reflect and listen to the wind. Nature’s best.

Not worth going beyond gates

What an ugly site.Looking down from top entrance it was full of weed and dead trees not worth going any further.Very disappointing in what is such a lovely town.

Peaceful

Yes, it’s quiet and peaceful, with joggers, picnickers, dog-walkers and others benefitting from the tranquility and beauty of this place. Ducks and coots were in the waters while keeping an eye open for any titbits remaining from the picnickers.
It’s a nice spot, but one thing clearly absent is the presence of any rubbish bins.

Great asset to.town

This park is ideal for walks, barbeques, picnics, and feeding the ducks.
A perfect family destination close to coffee and the main township.
The kids park is good for all ages, and has lovely shade trees for relaxing under on hot days.

A Tranquil setting

Included a loop of the lower track while out on a morning walk. Looks to be a popular place for locals in the middle of town to get away from the traffic. Even so, it felt like you had the pace to yourself. There are toilets and a pay for use BBQ area so it looks to be a place you could go for a picnic with a group of friends or family
