This is a small group tour for travellers seeking an all-inclusive, uniquely-kiwi trip to Milford Sound. We keep things personal using our fleet of modern Mercedes vans. Enjoy your journey with no more than 16 people, in a vehicle with luxury features such as leather seats, panoramic scenic windows, Wi-Fi and Spotify playlists. - Collapsible wheelchairs with removable wheels can be accommodated providing the passenger is accompanied by someone who can assist them board and disembark
- Please bring walking shoes, warm clothes and a rain jacket
- Minimum numbers of 6 apply (for the van from Queenstown to Milford Sound). There is a possibility of cancellation after confirmation if there are not enough passengers to meet requirements. In the event of this occurring, you will be offered an alternative or full refund.
- Not wheelchair accessible
- The flight back is weather dependant and in the case where flights are cancelled due to weather, you will return to Queenstown by van and be refunded your flight portion of your ticket.
- A picnic lunch is included and you have a choice between chicken, beef and vegetarian and you have until 6pm the day prior to confirm your choice. The default lunch selection is chicken.
- Most travelers can participate

Spectacular day out!!
Best tour ever. Tania was amazing, full of knowledge, with a real love for what she is doing. The bus was very comfortable with amazing views all around.
Weather did not play the game and we couldn’t fly out BUT....the bad weather was an absolute positive for the Milford Sound cruise - we saw the Sound at its best with all the waterfalls and extremes! The snow was the cherry on the top! Tania, you were right - best time to come to see the Sound. All in all, 10/10 and we thoroughly recommend the tour - especially in the wet!! Refund for the flight was immediate so no issues at all.

Amazing Day!
Andy was a fantastic tour guide so informative and enthusiastic. The drive to Milford sound was simply stunning with plenty of stops for photo opportunities. It was great being one of the few boats on the sound, the scenery breathtaking. Andy suggested a scenic plane ride on the way back rather than four or so hours by coach and we were extremely glad we took this option to see Milford sound and surroundings from another angle, not to mention time saved. Altitude tours is a New Zealand owned company, boutique with small numbers on tours so a more intimate experience. Would highly recommend!

A must do
Fantastic trip down to Milford Sound with these guys on August 2 2021. Our tour guide Tania was very jolly and very informative. Bus was comfortable, clean and nice and warm. Great stops along the way. I would highly recommend travelling with these guys, did it last year with Jucy and NO comparison!

The best driver and tour guide
10/10 very very good experience. Defiantly recommend for anyone travelling to Queenstown or living there. Spectacular views the whole journey and saw some amazing wildlife. Coach driver was excellent and really friendly to chat too and take photos

What an amazing trip,Queenstown to Milford and back, I was dragged along by my darling partner rose on this trip, rose asked me if I was excited, my reply was yea maybe, we were picked up it was pissing down, not that that worries me I love the rain and cold, well off we go, Tania what a lovely young lady, man she can talk, but it was easy to listen to she chimed in with the tour guide info then would put on some music, man that lady loves her job and region, Tania is a very safe and curtis driver,A1 if you ask me, as for the trip to Milford and back in the van absolutely spectacular , the water falls, sheer cliffs, native bush and the live blood of the area the rivers and lakes, the boat cruise was so unreal with the untouched slice of paradise, you south islanders sure are a friendly bunch we will surely spread the word, once again many thanks, Rose and Don.
