About us

Set on lovely private gardens with many fruit trees, these log style chalets are located 3 minutes’ drive from Alexandra. All chalets have a fully equipped kitchen and a private bathroom. Each wooden chalet offers a living room with a sofa and a flat-screen TV with digital channels. Heating and electric blankets and all linen are included. There is offer a private patio and BBQ area for each chalet. There is a seasonal outdoor swimming pool and spa pool. Guests have access to a self-service laundry and free on-site parking. There are free transfers to and from the Rail Trail. There is stunning scenery in all directions. Mirabell Chalets are 5 minutes’ drive from Clyde/Lake Dunstan. Queenstown and Wanaka (ski areas) are a 90-minute drive away and the Maniototo (Lord of the Rings country) is a 60 minute drive in another direction.

Comfortable, spacious, and picturesque

Loved my stay at Mirabell Chalet. The room is very spacious, with the bed not being a monolith in the middle of the room, like in most motel rooms. The facilities are modern, very comfortable, and everything was spotless. The kitchenette was small, but functional, and spacious. Bathroom was again spacious, clean, and had a good heater and heated towel rail No issues with WI-Fi. There’s no daily housekeeping, which I was fine with, and because I was staying for a full week, I was not charged for laundry, which was a welcome surprise. For nearly my whole stay, I never saw another person on site. Location is just out of town, so as long as you have a vehicle, it’s quiet and easy to access Overall, one of the best work stays I’ve had

Very relaxing

Very relaxing in very comfortable accommodation and beautiful surroundings. Close to Queenstown, Clyde and Cromwell and wineries. One excellent winery, in walking distance, across the road from the accommodations and grounds. Very kind and helpful hosts. We will stay again!

Great base to explore Central

We spent three nights at Mirabell Chalets when visiting family in Clyde. It is in an excellent location, close to Alex and Clyde. Our chalet was very warm and comfortable, and great value. The grounds are very nice, and the welcome was friendly. We will definitely be back!
