Mountain View Bed and Breakfast

convenient to the Auckland international airport and the city of Auckland, Mountain View Bed & Breakfast is in the beautiful suburb of Mangere Bridge. It's called "Mountain View" because it is nestled at the foot of what locals call Mangere Mountain, an extinct volcano actually just a few hundred feet higher than the surrounding ground. Ian and Jenny are some of the greatest hosts I have ever met anywhere, and I've traveled all my life. Their place is homey, warm, spotlessly clean, and very comfortable! Ian literally raised the house and built a second level below the original structure. Their rooms range from student-type spartan singles to queen beds with en-suite facilities. The lounge is clean and comfortable. Jenny goes to great lengths to make exactly what you want for breakfast. You eat with a view of Mangere harbor and the Waitakere hills on the other side of the harbor. Set back off the street, it's a quiet, private spot. They'll even pick you up or take you to the airport. Prices are reasonable and average for B&Bs in New Zealand. They charge less than many motels in the area, and offer wonderful hospitality and food. Dinners are optional at extra cost.
