Great experience
Really great spot for food and shopping. Lots of easy, free parking and plenty of space for prams. Enjoyed browsing the shops and having a bite to eat. Theres also plenty of restaurants and a cinema so would be great for an evening date night! A must visit.

Eat and shop
There are quite a few food outlets here including Ampersand, Brothers Beer and Saku Saku. There are a few spots in the front area but it is usually full.
We stopped by for lunch at Ampersand and took a look around since we were here. There are a few shops around as well as a Farro supermarket. It’s not very big but does have quite a few options for either eating or shopping.

Great shopping
Great views and shopping 10 min train from Auckland cbd. Restaurants look over the water back towards the city.

Great Retailers but Strict Parking Fees
After grabbing a beverage at Brother’s Beer we were talking about where to go for dinner and the menu at Orakei Bay Bistro looked really delicious so we planned to head there.....until we realized that we would have to pay for parking even though there were only 4-5 cars in the lot and it was late on a Sunday evening. It is such a shame Orakei Bay Village elected to strictly enforce parking when completely unnecessary - as we no longer consider coming here for dinner or grocery shopping despite how awesome the retailers are. It just hurts the local businesses really.
