Epic day

We did the pack raft trip and it was awesome, can’t think of a better way to spend the day in Aspiring National Park - the team were great and we had the best day we could hope for.

A fantastic day out

From the moment we were picked up, our guides were friendly, professional and focused on giving us a fun and safe day out. Our kids loved the experience, as did we. The scenery was outstanding, the gear was all in really good condition, and we felt safe and well looked after the whole time. We loved both the waterfall walks, and the food was delicious! A fantastic day out that we didn’t want to end. (We would have loved to stay on the river a bit longer!) Thanks so much.

Packrafting on the Matukituki River, Wanaka

Pack rafting down the Matukituki River from Raspberry Creek.
What an amazing experience for our family. They were really well organised. Nothing was too much trouble including catering lunch for our daughter with her many food intolerances. The scenery was stunning, the rafting fun and the walks to the waterfalls amazing. Would definitely rate this as one of the best things our family have done together. Teenagers all enjoyed loved it as well. Great value for money for a whole day adventure.

Absolute bliss

One of the best organised days out I’ve had so far in New Zealand. I’ve never been on a jet boat and absolutely loved it. It was so much fun and on top we received lots of information about the nature, wildlife, mountains and LOTR film spots surrounding us. Plenty of stops to take photos of the breath taking surroundings as well. After being dropped off we embarked on a nature walk through native forest (Middle Earth really does exist, you’ll see) before having lunch at a secluded beautiful beach by the river... and don’t get me started on the lunch! I can eat a lot but this was the biggest yummiest sandwich ever, not to mention the little treats included for everyone.
Courtney, our guide and white water royalty, was funny, extremely knowledgeable and absolutely awesome and I felt completely safe when out on the river. There is enough time to practise your skills on rapids, float down the river, enjoy the breathtaking scenery and have a swim (or skip stones as the kiwis like to do). Personally I didn’t want the day to end. Unfortunately it had to but real fruit ice cream for everyone made it much easier to bear.
I’ll be joining this trip again whenever I am back in beautiful Aotearoa.

The best mix of activities!

We had a wonderful day in the jet boat, walking around the forest and fields, and then rafting down the rapids. It was fun, informative, and a full day of activities you may not normally do. The logistics ran super smoothly and we had a fun time! Thanks!

Wicked day out

Wicked day out, everything sorted and always felt the guides knew it was our day out, not theirs. A hot crystal clear day just made the rafting even better. A bonus ice cream at the end too. All round can only but recommend it. Seriously awesome day.

A dream Journey

Three adventures packed into one day. The Jet boat was super cool and Ben our driver stopped multiple times for photos and to tell us about the area including where parts of Lord of the Rings was shot, thoroughly enjoyed the boat ride and loved getting to the native forest at the top. This is where we walked through the most gorgeous Beech forest, a little Hobbit land of old lichen covered crooked trees and bright green moss on the forest floor. We made our way to the river where we had a delicious packed lunch with multiple goodies inside then got ready for our Pack rafting. Courtney, our fantastic guide, took us down the river and made it fun and we felt safe. The river was superb as we bumbled, swam and splashed about on the hot day. Thanks Courtney for making it so fab! Absolutely loved the day and we finished with a real fruit ice cream. Such a dream day and on Valentine’s day with my new hubby too!! How perfect xoxox

Great day on the river

We did the jet boat, nature walk and pack raft and had a fantastic time. The jet boat was exciting and a great way to see the transition from farmland near the lake to native forest and glaciers further up the valley.

The nature walk was lovely, visiting a waterfall and walking through old beech forest covered in mosses and ferns.

The pack raft was the highlight, with Courtney gearing us up and advising us on how the navigate the river. The river is pretty gentle with chances to swim and cool down, and the pack rafts feel super stable and manoeuvrable. All the kit was clean and well maintained, and both guides were fantastic. Thanks!

A highlight

My husband and I did the full day of jet boat, nature walking and pack rafting (kayaking) with Courtney while we were in Wanaka.

It was definitely a highlight of our trip!

The whole experience was designed well and we felt well taken of.

Courtney was able to give us incredible insight across a variety of subject; nature, travel and local life.

Highly recommend, such a great day and lunch was epic!

Fabulous jetboat/kayak trip.

If you want to do one extraordinary thing on the South Island of New Zealand this should be it. The scenery is staggering and the guides are knowledgeable and friendly and fun! And it’s a tie on whether the jet boat or the kayaking is better. Both are excellent.
