Pleasant View Bed & Breakfast Timaru

My colleague and I hired both rooms and therefore had exclusive use of a fabulous lounge, dining and kitchen area. Motels are expensive in Timaru and this was a relatively cheap options ($280 for two of us in separate facilities), but had much better services. Kitchen stocked with good drink options (including coffee plunger - coffee provided - and pod machine (no pods)). Rosemary is an attentive and friendly host, and we enjoyed her company. G's room (king) had expansive views across the Bay and port, while mine was a good-size queen. We each had an en-suite bathroom, very modern (did I mention the whole place appears to be brand new). It was cold in Timaru at night but we were snug with our own heaters and a lovely heat pump in the open area. breakfast options include continental and a standard cooked bacon and eggs. The bread is home made and wonderful. Was all yummy. We will definitely stay there again. IT is also adjacent to a public walking track that looked very interesting. …

We recently stayed one night here and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hosts were extremely helpful and the breakfast delicious. The views from our rooms were beautiful. The rooms were extremely clean and everything was there that you needed for an overnight stay. It was lovely and quiet. Would thoroughly recommend this excellent accommodation.

This place is the best bed and breakfast I have come across New Zealand. Ian and Rosemary are real sweethearts and a very friendly and courteous hosts. The property is clean and tidy with amazing views. Add to it superb breakfast. This is simply amazing. Nothing less than a 5 star experience. This place set such high standards on our trip that everything else that followed (including 500$a night resort) seemed mediocre. I’d book again just for the breakfast and the couple’s warm and welcoming nature. Add to it amazing sea views and a gorgeous walk.

This is the perfect place to stay when exploring Timaru. Rosemary is very welcoming and the place is immaculate. The lounge is large with a good kitchenette, tv and DVD selection, large couch and wonderful breakfast table. The double bedroom overlooking the water is perfect with comfortable beds and a nice bathroom. Loved our stay, enjoyed the good wifi, the cooked breakfast, easy parking and the nature walk right outside the front door.

Awesome hosts. Beautiful room with a view of the bay. Homemade bread and cereals for breakfast. Great shower and very clean rooms. Spacious bedroom with spacious kitchen and lounge areas. Listen to the sound of the beach very relaxing
