Great great food, really nice people

We looked for a cheap place close by, and happened to stumble into the hook. We enjoyed it so much, we came back the next day and every single thing we had was delicious. The snappers are great (both the beer battered and the panko crust), fish burgers were tasty as hell and the fries were perfectly done. Both times, it was quick, cheap and made with fresh products We finished eating so quickly, so we didn't take any photos. Seems like we'll have to go again

Excellent fish and chips.

So being English, when I'm on holiday I'm always looking out for good fish and chips for a takeaway. Found it here in Ponsonby !. We went for the snapper and chips. Excellent food and good service. We will return.

Craving fish and chips for dinner

Rated number one and it lives up to its name. Fresh fish cooked to order and wrapped in Paper. Hole in the wall but we Loved it.

Cheap, Fresh, Delicious

We ordered 5 pieces of fried fish and 2 serving chips, was NZ$31. The price is very cheap and the fish are so fresh and delicious. The chips are so tasty. They don't provide plate and cutlery, use paper to wrap the food. They place 2 tables and few chairs in the aisle. Anyway, must try it!

Great food

This is the best fish and chips I have ever had. The staff is super friendly. I would recommend to anyone in search of quality takeaway

Review of Ponsonby Fish and Chips

If you enjoy good Fish and Takeaway this is the place. Portions good size, Table outside of takeaway or take home to eat. Good size menu of all takeaways. Good selection of fish, burgers, fritters and other food. Staff very friendly and helpfull. Worth the price, worth the visit. I would recommend. Peter J
