About us

Sangam Indian Cuisine - Whitianga’s only authentic Indian restaurant has been serving people in the town since 2004 and continues to lead its way as a popular local Indian joint in town. The restaurant seats 82 diners inside, while another 12 seats in the outdoors are highly popular in summers. We guarantee fresh high-quality meats bought from the local butcher. We do not use colouring agents in our food, so there is no orange looking curries or meat. Our preparations are authentic and prepared in Indian style. You can either choose to dine with us or take away a meal. Most of our curries are unique to us, whilst the restaurant also does some modern Indian food, such as the Lamb Shank Curry or the Whole Fish; must give it a try. At Sangam Indian Restaurant, we can cater to large groups. Whether it’s your next night out with friends or a special occasion with family, if menu choice is Indian, you know the place to dine.

Delicious & fantastic service

Fab food and service

After a number of Indian meals in Auckland we are surprised that close to our new home we a restaurant that is so great. great service , lots to choose from, nice atmosphere. A table of 4 we all had some thing different all were stunning and well presented. Nana bread was the freshest i have ever had , with a great crunch ( not rubbery). Cant wait to go back again.

Best Indian food we’ve had!!

Came here for dinner while on holiday with my family. Best Indian food we’ve ever had . Full of flavour and generous sizing. Our young daughter loved it. The staff were very friendly and talkative. Would definitely recommend.

Delicious ????

We were happy to sit and and savour the ambiance while we waited, not long, for a sizzling tandori and delicous tika masala and kali murch ... beautiful flavour and always a treat at our favourite local Indian restaurant ???? Highly recommend ????
