Faultless

Lovely service and 100% delicious pies and classic bakery sammies. The pastry was perfectly flaky on top and the filling was quality and tasty. Sooo good.

The Best Steak and Cheese in the World!

After being on the road in a long traffic jam for hours we stopped off at Warkworth and came across Savans Bakery which has a wide variety of eatables and drinks. The steak and cheese pie was the best I have ever tasted and was enjoyed sitting by the river close to the bakery! Bliss?

They know how to make pies !!!!

Travelling through the north island we stopped for lunch and this place was where we chose to get some food. Cakes, pies and sausage rolls all tasted good and I would have bought more but you can only eat so much. The staff were very friendly. They sure know how to bake good tasty food.

Ever since I was a little

Ever since I was a little girl this place has consistently offered hearty, tasty traditional favourites. Especially of the sweet variety! These days we best love them for their pies; scallop, leek and bacon (to die for) and best ever beef steak and mince ones. Well worth stopping in and taking your selection for a munch along the river boardwalk. Parking can be an issue but a couple of laps around town usually sees you able to pull up.

Awesome pies

Best pies in Warkworth. Fresh, pure and tasty, try the scallop and bacon pie. Rolls and sandwiches are awesome as well

Best Mince Pie ever

Stopped here for a pie. Then walked 1 min around the corner and ate them on the river board walk. Best pie I have had in a long time.

Consistently the best pies ever, anywhere. Other goodies, esp including sandwiches are very very good.

I'm NOT a big bread/pastry eater, but if I've had physical day and the weather is yuk there's nothing like a [good] pie. My Savans fav's are Pepper Steak, Curry Steak, or Mushroom & Steak. Always super meaty and never soggy pastry. The sandwiches are top notch, Chicken Avocado on Rye is my fav. Always service with a smile. Great coffee too. These guys and girls work hard to offer great value and superb quality.

Flavour and Value all in one!

You cannot go past these guys pies, and their 'Super Ham' filled rolls are a fantastic lunch for well less that 10 bucks. This is an artisan baker in their element.

Excellent local bakery

Really great bakery items especially the pies,meat,or vegetarian, the chicken feta pie is a treat.Always very fresh and use locally sourced ingrediants. Very busy which is always a good sign.Coffee is good and a great selection of sweet treats,all good,hard to choose but the custard slice and the apple and blueberry strudel are family favourites. Friendly staff who seem to enjoy their work. Can easily take your items and walk through the nearby courtyard to sit by the river.

PIES!

Got recommended this bakery but family who live in Auckland. We went more than once as the pies were so nice. They also do sandwiches, cakes, doughnuts etc as well.
