Best curries!!

Shree is our local and always does consistently good curries. Tonight was on another level altogether, the curries were on the drier side, rich and tasty. Everything that arrived on the table was divine. 10/10.

A great discovery!

Went to this restaurant for the first time a week or so ago -- a real find. No, the interior decor is not plush (but it was comfortable and fine), and it is off the beaten path, but the food was excellent, portions were generous and prices great. Chicken Afghani, korma, lamb pasanda were all great. Naans are huge and keema naan was especially tasty. We are getting takeaways tonight and plan to be regulars. I love that they are careful with allergies -- they don't use MSG, and specify on the menu what has gluten. Service was good -- they promptly replaced the water bottles we drained.

Fabulous Authentic India Food

We had a birthday dinner at Shree and it was our first time there and it was superb! The food was so delicious, really fresh and authentic flavours! The portions were big, the service was lovely and attentive. I will definitely be coming back. A very enjoyable evening.

New decor

We really do love this place. The service is always excellent and the food is always fresh and hot. We had jalfrezi hot, vindaloo hot hot, and kadai medium, as well as garlic naan and the best bhajis in Dunedin. So nice to get a hot vindaloo that is actually hot. We’ve always found this restaurant to be consistently great. It’s nice to see the owner investing in a fresh paint job, the place is looking so much brighter and warm and welcoming.

Superior Indian Food

A friend described Shree as "the best Indian Restaurant in Dunedin." I haven't tried every Indian restaurant in Dunedin, but the meal we had last weekend was as good as any Indian food I have eaten anywhere. No "curry from a jar" flavours. Every dish was a different, crafted with delicious and subtle blends of spices. We intend to go back and try more from their menu.

Wonderful food!

Shree is terrific!!! The food is always delicious and authentic. (OK... apart from the chocolate naan, which is not so authentic - but utterly marvelous!) For us, Shree is absolutely the highlight of any time that we spend in Dunedin.
