Miss 17 loves space
Very informative staff. Nice learning science centre with an informative movie on space, stars and the history of landing on the moon.

Interesting show
Like another reviewer has mentioned, the extensive intermingling of science and Maori mythology doesn’t seem to work here. The main purpose of the Observatory should be a celebration of science and how humans have used science over hundreds of years to learn so much about the universe. I don’t think mythology should be the main focus of a science museum. Staff seemed a bit keen to look for ways to tell people off as well, which wasn’t much fun. The show was worth watching - in fact, don’t go unless you watch a show.

Wellington visit
Loved visiting this place I didn’t realise it was even there until the lady from the cable care museum mentioned it.
My youngest especially loved it.
I did think the price was a little steep for 1 adult and 2 children but all up it was a good visit.
