5About us
ST LEONARD’S VINEYARD COTTAGES is set on 4.5 acres, with self-contained boutique cottages positioned around the semi-rural property. The original farm homestead (circa 1886) is home to your hosts - Jonathan & Natashya - and is an excellent example of early NZ colonial architecture. The house is situated in the hub of this private setting with century-old walnut, gum and elm trees. The charming cottages are themed around the old farm buildings, offering their own unique view of mountains, vines or gardens, and are privately located around the property. They are all fully self-contained and self-catering. Make the most of your idyllic surroundings by exploring the grounds with its picturesque gardens and majestic trees. Near the lemon grove you will find sheep, alpaca and chickens (all prepared to become your new best friend for a handful of food) plus a couple of very shy deer. Pool, Petanque, lawn tennis.Loading ...

Great stay, great location, amazing hospitality
This was a great place to stay for a long weekend to Marlborough. All cottages are a short distance apart to give you complete privacy. The owners were super welcoming and gave us lots of locals tips and advice. You can even pick fruit from their trees when in season. The cottage itself was comfortable with everything we needed and more. We looked out onto a vineyard. Pure bliss! Great value

Perfectly situated
Gorgeous cottages set on several acres in Malborough. It’s a perfect place to base yourself as you explore. The hosts were warm and welcoming, the cottages had everything you could need, including fresh eggs from the hens. We got to visit and feed the sheep and deer, and pick fruit from the tree. The food and wine recommendations were fantastic as well. We’d love to go back!

We are just back from 3 nights at St Leonard’s. Absolutely top notch in every way. We loved the cottage, the views across the vineyard, fresh free range eggs form the on site chickens...what more could you ask for.....? How about a couple of lovely hosts ✅✅. So kind an thoughtful, made our stay extra special. Thx so much, Trevor and Ruth.

Third time coming back and its still amazing
We just love this part of NZ and came back for a third time. This time we got to stay in "The Stables" which was just amazing. You overlook the lambs and vines from bed. The hosts are super friendly, chatty and all around helpfull. The place is so photogenic with stunning vistas everywhere. Will be back.

Wonderful accomodation and hosts
My partner and I absolutely LOVED our three nights in the Shearer’s Quarters. We could not recommend this place any more highly and can't wait to return again! Our cottage was charming, equipped with everything we needed and included very generous breakfast provisions. We loved eating our breakfast outside every morning listening to the birds and looking out over the vineyards. We even used the BBQ one evening which was lovely and so easy having Pak n Save so close by. The property itself is stunning, beautifully maintained gardens and plenty of friendly animals. Pickles the cat is a really cutie, only to be upstaged by gorgeous Nellie the lamb. One of the highlights of our trip was feeding little Nellie her bottle. We also loved feeding the sheep lemons (yes lemons?!) and checking out the impressive chicken penthouse. After walking the QCT we also really appreciated the spa pool to relax in and ease our aching muscles in the evening. We cannot thank Michele and Marcus enough for an absolutely wonderful stay! We really enjoyed meeting you both and hope to see you again one day. …
