Quiet stay at a beautiful Havelock North property

Thanks Giselle we had a fantastic stay at Te Mata House in the Stables. It was very quiet and is well located with wineries close at hand and it is only a stones throw away from the walkways along the Tuki Tuki river. The Stables is a comfortable room behind the main house with all that you need. We really enjoyed our breakfast in the warm morning sun on the long outside table and would have utilised some of the other amenities like the tennis court and BBQ if our stay had been longer. Will certainly return again at some stage in the future for a NZ break away from work.

A magical experience!

If you are looking for a romantic and magical experience then Te Mata House is the place for you! Amazing accomodation and location! Giselle and Jackie were so lovely and we felt very welcomed! Our stable was cute and we even found a whiskey bar underneath which was cool to hang out in and have a few brews. Highly recommend! We will be back!

Amazing location. Amazing personalized service.

We had our corporate offsite at Te Mata House and could not talk more positive about it. Giselle and Jacqui made us feel home from before we arrived until we said goodbye. The venue is absolutely stunning and immaculate, all we needed was immediately catered for and pro-actively managed or arranged. Highly professional and friendly, I would recommend this venue for your corporate or private events or personal get-away. I'll definitely be back.

Home away from home

What a great birthday get away this was. Nestled in amongst the vineyards of Te Mata and Church Road this beautiful cottage provides all the comforts of home (actually it’s a bit nicer than my home). It was warm and cosy and had everything we needed for our stay. A central base in Hawkes Bay to come and go from as we pleased as well as being a lovely place to relax. The grounds of the main house and the cottage are perfectly maintained and we had a beautiful vista from every room. Perfect holiday spot. I thoroughly recommend it and would love to visit again soon. Jacqueline and Giselle made us feel very welcome and made sure we had everything we needed. Thanks for thinking of everything Jacqueline and Giselle. It was great.

Excellent Visit & Tour

We had the pleasure of taking the Garden and Heritage Tour with the wonderful Giselle. What an amazing Hawke's Bay place, not only is it steeped in fascinating history, but it is making new memories and stories for the future! The garden, despite being winter, is still captivating. The attention to detail and sculptures throughout make every corner interesting no matter the time of year. Te Mata house offers wonderful hospitality and a genuine experience of Hawke's Bay luxury. Thank you for having us!
