Poor Coordination and Very Last Minute Cancellation

I booked their Adventurer heli-hike (together with Inflite for the helicopter) and paid a month in advance only for my trip to be cancelled definitively *when I got there* (despite the great weather). This was after being told late in the evening right before the trip that there was a problem with last minute cancellations of other passengers (borders were closed well before then, why just email then?), and being strung along for the whole day on the way there and told that it looks like the heli-hike would push through after all.

Maybe the reason they strung us along was so we could fill in the missing slots for another helicopter ride that day, I don’t know. But we didn’t get any consideration aside from the ongoing promos they already had that day for other tours (which I had already done with other companies anyway), even when we offered to pay for an extra slot for the heli-hike.

Additionally, another company was able to go on a heli-hike at the same time and we weren’t offered to go on that one instead when we would have easily fit in the maximum number for the trip (I didn’t ask earlier because I only figured it out when they got back from their hike).

I really wouldn’t recommend this company to anyone, very poor communication all throughout. Consider other companies instead.

Amazing trip, views and people

Scott was an AMAZING tour guide. He was so passionate about the glacier and taught us a lot about the surrounding areas as well as the glacier itself! He was really great with my brother Alec, (he has a disability so trips like this can be overwhelming sometimes) but Scott was so great with him too and Alec was super happy. The pilot, Brook was really chill and we felt really safe on the flight over, and the views were INCREDIBLE. Overall, if you wanna see the glacier up high and in person I 100% recommend this trip.

Book it now!

This is a cool experience! Surrounded by the towering peaks including Mt Cook, we crawled through ice tunnels and into ice caves carved in the glacier. Safety was clearly paramount and Rich was fun, knowledgeable and clearly an expert in the mountains. Tack on some helicopter time and my kids loved it all
