Serene and Romantic
The Blue Moon B&B is gem of an accommodation. We (my wife Sanchita and I) were in New Zealand for 15 days. We covered most of both the islands and stayed at various accommodations which included hotels, serviced apartments, motels, huts and B&Bs... and then there was The Blue Moon. It was the best of all the properties. I would rate it higher than my stay at Hilton Queenstown in terms of comfort, peace and space. And that too at less than half the price. The B&B is nestled in town of Motueka surrounded by wineries and orchards. Town centre is a 5 minute drive. You can reach Kaiteriteri beach in 20 minutes for kayaking and Abel Tasman National Park for a walk in just 35 minutes. Jane wasn't home when we reached her place. But she had planned for it. A doodle with our names on it welcomed us and there was a small welcome note guiding us the way to our room. Room is amazingly spacious and very nicely done. Rooms are well lit. Glass windows & doors allow maximum natural light to enter in. The setting feels most romantic when it gets dark outside and you can see every bit of moon-light coming inside your room through all the windows. We haven't experienced that for a long long time staying in city. And above all, its so peaceful all around. Its bathroom is one of the most luxurious that I have had chance to shower in, in a long long time. The small little kitchen is equipped with all basic items for self-cooking. We could also enjoy the warmth of nice little fireplace. …
Lovely spacious room
Lovely spacious room equipped with everything you need. Excellent location (easy drive to beautiful Kaiteriteri Beach) with plenty of privacy. Comfy bed and luxurious bathroom - the sunken bath is a real treat. The bathroom is almost at the end of a hallway so not having a door was no problem at all. I probably wouldn't order the breakfast tray again but it was nice to have the toast etc there in the morning anyway so we could eat before continuing our travels. We enjoyed our stay and will keep in mind if we are ever in the area again.
Quirky and unusual
What a lovely stay, the very large bedroom/living/kitchen area was beautifully designed and the bathroom was a special treat. We had the use of a private area of the garden with plenty of comfortable chairs and an excellent BBQ. Jane was very friendly and helpful especially as we left a few things behind and she kindly posted them on to us. We would certainly stay there again.
Wonderful and relaxing stay
We stayed at the Blue Moon for 4 nights after Christmas. In one word: perfect! Now some more words: The appartment is very spacious and looks even better than on the pictures. You can feel the love in all the great details. The place has a lot of sunlight and with the decorations at the ceiling it looked special and luxirious. We really felt like home :) It has a big and comfortable bed, a cosy living area, a good equipped kitchenette, a small dining table, a lovely bathroom, a big walk-in warddrobe with plenty of space for all your luggage and a great terrace with lounge chairs, a place to eat and a barbecue (which we used every day). Oh, and the wifi is good and quick, too. Jane is a very lovely host! She even wrote us in advance that there are 2 concerts nearby which perhaps can get noisy. And asked if we'd like to stay elsewhere. I think that was very nice and altruistic of her. By the way: the concerts are only just after christmas and we didn't mind at all (we even went to one concert and Jane gave us a lift). She is great! We had a really wonderful, perfect, cosy and amazing stay here. Highly recommendated! …
