Marvelous coffee, hushed banter and sunny.
Just have to love this place. The Café with an accent on conviviality. The setting is full of light, roomy seating (after a recent change of format) and friendly. Folks ae reading tomes, surfing the net, jousting with crosswords or just flicking thru the wide variety of library magazines kept on racks close by. The fresh offerings from the food cabinet are always delicious and, in fact, the Louise bars are compelling ! Coffee has a genuine European panache to it and is a flavorsome Arabica blend and can be topped up with a variety of milks.
Nice Little cafe in a library
We went there for our afternoon coffee. Cabinet food available only and we had a blueberry almond tart, which is yum. It is good as the cafe is next to where all the magazines are, very handy :-)
Excellent coffee and cabinet food. Very nice sandwiches. Located in the Tasman District Council new library which enables you to read while having your coffee.
Absolutely charming place to eat
We chose to eat lunch here in this peaceful cafe after driving in from busy Nelson. The proprietor was really helpful, pleasant to chat to and the food was first-class, if a little on the simple side. But this is a cafe, not a restaurant, so bearing that in mind we were delighted with our lunch here. For a refreshing cuppa or a cool juice, this is a great place to enjoy it.
