Beautiful lake and forest walk
The scenery was breathtaking! Gorgeous walk through forest with lake views . Easy walk which takes about an hour .
Don’t forget to get a great coffee and bacon and egg roll from the silver air stream cafe afterwards - situated right on the lake .

Mother/Daughter weekend
This is great it has not only the lake walk (which is the route) but there are a couple of other walks. We did the Blue one right aroubd the lake, great weather and it also allows for dogs. Would recommend to anyone.

Real New Zealand Native Trail
This is a fantastic little trail with all Native bush. Takes around half an hour and is amazing. No Bikes, No Dogs. Little hard to find if you don’t know where to look. When driving to the blue lake, just before you get there (ie you will see the lake right in front of you!) you will see a green paddock on your left with a bin and low log fence. It doesn’t look like there is anything there. But park up and walk straight to the other side where you see the woods start and you are there! Definitely worth going to!
