Good walk

Loved the walk through bush on a very well maintained track to the top of this gully. The birdsong was lovely, especially for someone like me that lives in the natural wasteland that is the Canterbury Plain around Ashburton. This is a steady climb to the ridge line above the beach, and the views from the top are good. What is great is that it is then a downhill walk back to the start. Took us just under an hour.

Worth the climb

The initial part of the track is lightly sloped, there are some steps to negotiate near to the end. Some lovely bird life to encounter. Within minutes you feel you are miles from civilisation
