So light & fluffy!

Superb mid morning brunch, tucked in by the fishing rods and surf boards... we ordered a range of waffles, all super light and huge in size, covered with mountains of cream, toppings and ice cream... and not forgetting the endless coffee, super thick milkshakes and hot chocolate with chocolate syrup on the top... it's a delight of a place for kids and adults... super kind and fun staff who go out of there way to ensure you have a great sweet treat... definitely a place to visit..

Delicious, relaxing and delightful

We were on holiday in Akaroa and walking the town. It was a lovely hot day and we decided it was past time for a morning coffee. We popped in here. It's a fascinating place with a combo of a hardware store adjoining a garden centre, which incorporates outdoor seating for the cafe. Both of the staff were very friendly and helpful with our ordering requests. We loved their suggestion of an up-size on a gorgeous berry waffle treat so we could each enjoy a taste, sharing one between the 3 of us. There was a freshly brewed coffee pot for our table so endless cups to enjoy alongside the beautifully tasting waffle. Naughty but nice and ever so decadent. You must try it.

Can’t be beaten

We visit this place every time we visit and can’t get enough of these waffles. The range on offer is amazing and every single one has been delicious so far! Can’t recommend this place highly enough.

Delicious

Wasn't expecting much due to being confused where you order. Was pleasantly surprised. Oreo waffle was 10/10. Only whinge was $3.50 to add one scoop of ice cream

What a gem this place is... And it's in a hardware store which makes for a slightly unusual setting, but the outdoor seating area is set amongst a few plants for sale. The waffles are awesome... freshly made and light and fluffy inside. Not particularly cheap for what they were, but either way, good waffles aren't easy to find in NZ so it's worth it. You order at the counter in the shop, and there is no table service, and you need to push your used dishes up in the tub up near the kitchen, but hey, who cares when the waffles are this good! I'll be back.

Delicious

Not cheap but really worth it, never tasted waffles like this before, fresh light & fluffy, delicious toppings. And yes it’s in a hardware store.

Great smell, awesome taste

At first I was confused if I was in the right place as it was just in a shop. The delicious smell loured me in. Woman serving me was very friendly. I had maple walnut ice-cream on my waffle and it complemented it perfectly :)
